Welcome to Blogging!

So what is a blog? Is that some prehistoric quagmire where all sorts of things just get stuck?
Hopefully you'll be able to answer that first question with some authority after the class and hopefully 'things' won't just get stuck in your blog.
First of all, how have you seen blogs used on the internet? If you haven't seen a blog you can go to http://blogsearch.google.com/ and look for a blog that interests you.
Then... post a comment here about how you think blogs could be used by educators.

No previous experience with blogs. We hope a blog will facilitate communication with parents and students.

I do blog on a regular basis and post blogs for a local company. I am interested in learning blogging tips to make this more effective for my classroom

We have limited knowledge of blogs
Novels discussion, social networking, academic enrichment/enhanced learning for at-risk students, involving junior high students and parents in education/classrooms. Novel discovery- where students can go to find a good book to read. Question/answer for students to teacher
